The beauty of the Moon Orchid Plant

Orchid Moon (Phalaenopsis amabilis) or puspa charm is one of the national flower of Indonesia. First discovered by a Dutch botanist, Dr. C.L. source

The way the orchid lives this month is epiphytically by sticking to the stems or branches of trees in the forests and thriving up to 600 meters above sea level.

Moon orchids are included in monopodial orchids that like a little sunlight as a life support. The leaves are green with elongated shape. The roots are white and rounded and feathery. The flowers have a bit of fragrance and a long blooming time and can grow up to 10 cm in diameter more.

Orchids of the moon is one of the native species of Indonesia's famous flowers with the name of Butefly Orchid has become a favorite among flower lovers.

Imagine, the shape of the petals are wide but exotic, with variants of various colors, from yellow, pink, white, red-brown, red, to purple makes this Moon Orchid has always been a favorite for orchid flower lovers.

Characteristic of this orchid is white with yellow and red. The shape and color of this orchid is almost like a moon at night, so this orchid is then known by the orchid name of the moon.

Orchid months can be planted in the yard of the house or planted in pots, both ordinary pots and hanging pots. Pots used may be made of clay, pottery, plastic or wood.
