This Century, Humans Will Make Contact with Alien
Michio Kaku, a renowned physicist from the United States (US), provides predictions about the future of the fate of mankind.
The "forecasts" by 71-year-old physicist is not about the trivial, but about the future of Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence, AI), Bitcoin, to human civilization.
Quoted from Futurism, Wednesday (28/3/2018), the physicist believes that in this century man will establish a relationship with alien civilization.
"In this century, we will make contact to alien civilization by listening to their radio communications," Kaku said.
Even so, Kaku does not advise humans to remain silent on planet Earth.
In line with Elon Musk's ambitions, these physicists also think it's better for humans to keep watch by preparing plans for settlement building on Mars for the sake of the future.
"Dinosaurs do not have an aerospace program, and that's why they are now extinct, nobody tells us to leave Earth and go to Mars, but a settlement on Mars is a sure possibility," he said.
Beware Of Robots
Another thing that Kaku discussed is the potential problems that AI can inflict.
For some people, the ability of AI is interesting to discuss because with human AI can optimize machine and robot performance, while for others, there are serious problems can arise if the development of AI not accompanied by ethics.
"A few decades later, they (robots) will be as smart as mice, then rats, then cats, then dogs and monkeys, and when that comes they may become dangerous and even replace humans by the end of the century."
is not alone in this, Elon Musk also repeatedly conveyed his fear of potentially dangerous robots.
Even so, other technology leaders such as Jeff Bezos even enjoy the ability of an increasingly flexible robot.
Bitcoin and Car Without Driver
Currently, besides AI, the hot conversations are the development of digital money such as Bitcoin and cars that can drive themselves (driveless car, car nirsopir).
For digital money, Kaku delivered a fairly critical statement by likening it to gambling and speculating.
"Bitcoin is not a productive industry," he said.
However, the Harvard graduate professor appears to support the development of a self-drive car (otonomos) which he considers to reduce traffic accidents.
"As transport is digitized over the next decade, autonomous cars guided by GPS and radar will be with us on the highway." Traffic accidents' and 'traffic jams' will be an old-fashioned term, "he said.
"Thousands of lives will be saved each year (thanks to autonomos cars)," he concluded.
