A visit to the Candy Store
I visited a departmental store named New Janani where there are many types of candy. Since it is a departmental store, food items, grocery items, as well as many other packaged products are available here. I saw many types of local and foreign candies there which are in high demand among customers.
This departmental store is located in the first row on the ground floor of Lucky Plaza Market on Agrabad Access Road. It remains open every day during market hours, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Being in a commercial area, the shops here stay open until late at night, especially during festival seasons.

The interior of this store is quite bright. The store is not very large, but they have arranged the entire space in such a way that it doesn't feel small. This is because they kept the store very bright, and since there are products in every part of the store, there is absolutely no empty space.
While there wasn't any extraordinary interior design on the ceiling, it wasn't very noticeable because of the products; the ceiling had fans and sufficient lighting. Due to the good lighting, it looked very bright inside, and the products also looked very good. Their product arrangement was quite beautiful.

They have many products in their store. There were biscuits, cakes, bakery items, bread, frozen items, cold drinks, and various other products. There were also many grocery items here, such as oil, sugar, noodles, and many other items, all of which were packaged; they have no loose items.
Regarding their candy items, I saw the candy items arranged right in front of the seller. The candies come in various colors and flavors. I don't know the names of all the candies, but there are many types and brands of local and foreign candies here.

Those of us who like to eat candy, I saw popular varieties in the candy section there. Especially lollipops, European chewing gum in orange and banana flavors, Mooniz candy, Trident candy, and many other local and foreign flavored candies are available. The price of candy varies according to the variety and flavor.
Below, I am mentioning the prices of some candies:
| Candy Name | Price (BDT) | Price (STEEM) |
|---|---|---|
| Lollipop | 10 Bdt | 1.46 STEEM |
| Dairy Milk Small | 25 Bdt | 3.64 STEEM |
| Mr. Mango | 5 Bdt | 0.73 STEEM |
| Milk Candy | 5 Bdt | 0.73 STEEM |
| Trident Gum | 180 Bdt | 26.20 STEEM |
| Mooniz Soft Candy | 380 Bdt | 55.31 STEEM |
| Europe Chewing Gum | 30 Bdt | 4.37 STEEM |
I found the candy section of this departmental store very convenient because all the candies were in front, making it easy to see and choose your favorite candy. There is also a reason for keeping them open in the front like this so that they easily catch the eye of junior customers and they become interested in buying them.
There is no option for digital payment here; payment must be made in cash. I really liked the shopkeeper's behavior toward the customers. Although I didn't buy candy from there, I bought other products; my buying experience was very good, and it seemed like a good place to buy candy.

✓ If you had the opportunity to share a traditional sweet from this shop or street stall with a Steemian friend, what would the sweet be?
If I had the opportunity to share a traditional sweet from this shop with a Steemian friend, I would share Milk Candy. This is because there are two candies in the Milk Candy packets. And their taste is also very good. I used to eat a lot of Milk Candy in my childhood, and even now I can feel that taste. Therefore, I would share Milk Candy with my Steemian friend.

✓ Describe the three most traditional sweets in your town.
Three traditional sweet candies of my town are lollipops, Dairy Milk, and Mr. Mango. These sweets are very popular among the people of our town, and everyone has eaten these sweets at some point since childhood. Even those who are young now are seen eating these types of traditional sweets, and they are quite delicious.
✓ Do you prefer to buy your sweets in formal stores or do you feel that street vendors have a more homemade taste?
I think sweets should definitely be purchased from formal stores; I won't say street vendors are bad, but to get good branded sweets, one should definitely visit formal stores. This is because formal stores can ensure the taste and quality of the sweets, whereas another disadvantage of street vendors is that quality is not ensured there. Therefore, even if it costs a few extra takas, I think sweets should be bought from a formal store.
