IMG_1908 (1).JPG

This Was the biggest plant of all it was KC36 and nicknamed the Monster! It produced approximately 90grams of my total 230g harvest........It was extremely POTENT more so that most of the AAAA+ I was getting from Broken Coast.....Now lets bring you through my journey

Equipment

Tent - https://www.mars-hydro.com/grow-tent/2-5-x2-5

Cost- 120 CAD- The tent was cheap and I didn't want a big space. Ok quality for the price.

Fan - https://www.growlights.ca/4-inch-fan-filter-kit.html

Cost - 180CAD - Fan came with speed control and carbon filter....filter worked well during flowering

Light

Cost - 200CAD- 4 x Vero 29SE - BXRC-40G10K0-C-7x-SE - www.digikey.ca
Cost - 100 CAD - 1 x Meanwell Driver - 1x HLG-320H-C1050B - Kingbrite (Ali Express)
Cost - 80CAD - 4x pre-drilled heatsink Φ150*H70mm(for 60-70W) (pre-drilled for Vero 29) - Kingbrite (Ali Express)
Cost - 20CAD - 4x lenses KB-HB78-90 - KingBrite
Frame - Free - Can be made from aluminum angle

You can see my raspberry pi and its sensors in this picture topic for another day

Calculation for the light goes like this the current is 1.05amp (1050ma) and at 1140ma the voltage for the light is 67.3V (see chart below) so the power at 1050ma with 4 vero`s wired in series is (1.05amp) * (67V+67V+67V) = 285W and the driver supplies 320Wfor safety factor. I wired a potentiometer to vary the light level. I learned all of this from rollitup.org they have great tutorials and guides that I could not do justice. Of course you should always get a licensed professional to help you with everything. I am just providing my own experience,

Odds and Ends

Ratchet Straps for your light - Vivosun Amazon, PH Meter and Ph Indicator - I like to have both I got Tacklife PM01 meter, Wiring - 16ga, Surge Protected Power Bars, Circulation Fans, Smart Pots, Coco Coyer, Perlite, Nutrients, 5 Gallon Buckets, Eye dropper and Measuring Spoons, Rags for cleanup, Humidifier, Dehumidifier, Ductwork, Aluminum Tape, Twisty Plant Ties, UV Protection Glasses, Trimmers, and maybe more :-)

Cost - 500CAD

Total - 1200CAD * Safety Factor = 1500CAD (This is a estimate based upon my experience, probably could do cheaper)

Nutrient Schedule

This was a rough schedule and one of the problems I discovered too late was that I wasn`t getting good water flushing at the edges of the pots so they had a salt build up which I believe caused the chem burns on the leaf tips. Of course this is my first grow so take me with a grain of salt

Grow Lessons

When you lower humidity plants will drink faster and therefore need to be watered more....lowering humidity for the last 2 weeks of flowering really increases resin

When you pack your pots make sure you pack them well take your time make sure there are no air pockets and the soil comes near the top

Low Stress Training is easy and works well

Paying close attention to your plants will pay off

LED lights will give you headaches protect your eyes!

LED lights can burn seedlings even though it doesn`t feel too hot

growweedeasy.com was the biggest factor in my success and a big shout out to them

Picture Journal

Picture of the last buds remaining. Saving those for the 1st year Anniversary haha

Any growing tips are always welcome and if my limited experience can help anyone let me know

wow great grow those look really nice

Thanks!! I was quite pleased with the results. Took a while to cure nicely at about 6 weeks. Next time I will leave it on branches and hang.
