What will happen to me if I smoke pot from this "device"?
So you might remember my previous post...
I received so many comments with people telling me to try it again and maybe use something else to smoke this stuff with to get a different experience or maybe even a better experience. ( My first experience kinda sucked ).
So it got me thinking, and I managed to get my hands on this from a long time pot smoker... ( Borrowed it to me ).
I think this item is referred to as a "pipe"?
It's a pretty straight forward device from what I can see, and it's made out of glass. Apparently you put pot in the front and just light up. Simple as that.
Why is this thing black in certain areas? What the...
This is the pot I was given ( tad blurry )
I think it's called "Outdoor", whatever that means.
I like to do my research before I try something, so hence this post.
- Is this device going to make me pass out or something?
- Is this the proper device to use for a "better" experience?
- How much pot do I stack in the front of this thing?
My first "high" really wasn't enjoyed at all. If I do decide to smoke for a second time from this device I'll document it.
If maybe regular / experienced pot smokers can drop a comment and give me some advice that would be great. This device just makes me think of doing hard drugs :(
Anyway, if you guys could help me with some advice I'd appreciate it.

Yo Safari!!!! You know me and you are cool so I'm gonna tell you straight like this. That pipe is used for smoking CRACK. That weed you have is garbage weed and not strong at all. Look for a pipe called a bong and you will like it better. Also look for anything called haze, sour diesel, blue dream, blue cheese, man there are too much to name...but get you that type of weed and a bong and you will be straight!!!!!
Nah I'm familiar with those and it's just a cheap one hitter.

The man himself! Yea that pipe does look extremely shady. The individual whom I got it from I know and only weed was smoked from that device.

Seriously, if you want to get high properly and enjoy the benefits of cannabis,
GET SOME GOOD CANNABIS!
You don't want to have seeds in your bud :)
And if possible, try with joints first? You can roll just a little one and take just few puffs and wait. After 15 min if you think you need more, smoke few puffs again :) You don't want to smoke too much, that leaves you negative feelings towards cannabis :(
Get something to drink and to eat and relax!
And that thing looks like crackpipe and probably isn't the easiest one to start with :D

Umm, is it legal in your country? :) If it is, go to your local dealer !
If not, then try to find something with no seeds, extra leaves or sticks. Good cannabis doesn't hurt your lungs (coughing is normal) or taste like chemicals.
Also take water with you when you smoke. Honey helps with dry cough and sore throat.

South Africa, nice! Here in Finland, we have to be under the radar..
But one day it will be legal, I hope. I keep smoking and growing no matter what the law says. My dream is to grow and sell high quality cannabis from my own little shop one day !

The one you have in that pic has gone to seed. If a plant goes to seed it messes up the weed; it tastes like crap, it's less potent and the seeds might give you headaches. They also pop so if you're going to use that pipe pick them out beforehand or you're gonna make a mess everywhere. Pick them out regardless of what you're going to use. You can still smoke it but just know that it won't be great.
Outdoors just means it was grown outdoors, that's why it went to seed as well, it was pollinated. It might also mean it's a feral plant, 2nd, 3rd gen. Indoors grown is prevented from going to seed by the grower and nowadays, indoors grown is considered to be the good stuff.

That pot just looks like the stuff that I smoked all through the 1970s and 80s. They didn't have these ridiculously potent hybrids back then. It took more to get high than it does now. I can't smoke the modern potent weed, it's too strong and messes me up too much.
Do remove the seeds before you smoke it, they pop when they're burned, and they make the smoke more harsh.
As for the pipe, it's just a larger glass version of what is called a "one hitter". Just pack a little bit in the short end, that's the bowl. Light it and don't take big hits until you get used to it. A big hit will make you cough like crazy.

Just put some damn weed in the front and smoke it. You sound inexperienced with weed so it's not likely that it will take connoisseur level herb to get you stoned. The pipe is called a "Chillum," and are some of the oldest style of pipe in existence. Different cultures had different designs and ways of using them. Pretty fascinating really, and pretty central to what modern cannabis use has become. Unfortunately this particular model can in theory be used to smoke drugs like crack, and for that reason attract more attention from cops, and have developed a bit of a stigma, so people tend to either avoid them, or buy larger, colored, hand blown ones that clearly look like cannabis pipes. But there's a 99% chance that nothing other than herb has been used in it. The black residue on it is called "resin." Just buildup from combusting carbon in a tiny glass tube over and over again. Not particularly unhealthy. All pipes that see use wind up resinated. It's just that with clear pipes they get the look after a just a few uses. Load up a few hits worth of your weed in the bowl and see where it takes you...

The black thing could also be tar if someone has been smoking his cannabis with tobacco. I smoke only green from my bong multiple times a day and it doesn't get so dirty compared to when I used to smoke my pot with tobacco.
That being said, I should go and soak my dirty bong and take the clean one from the closet. :D

That pipe is actually used more prevelantly for other drugs, so I would be wary carrying that around with you. That being said, it will function as a "one hitter" for smoking marajuana.

-Nope! "One hitter" pieces are great for beginners as you will not need to smoke much to get results. Thus saving you some bud!

-Once again, I would recommend almost any other device over this, simply because it is much more commonly used for hard drugs. A bowl would be a much better long-term solution!
How much pot do I stack in the front of this thing?
-Pack it until it's full, but not too tight as you still need air to travel through it.
