The @Caracasfrases Contest | My Entry

Fui a la casa de unos amigos míos en Guarenas y en la parte posterior de ella, en un modesto anexo, un chico simpático, humilde como sus paredes, color de la tierra que hacen dignos a los seres humanos de mi Venezuela, me abrió sus puertas... que era todo su universo afectivo.

Allí estoy yo, en su mundo, a medias, desdibujado, incompleto,
allí esta él, cabizbajo, en la puerta, mirando sin mirar, mostrando lo que es... esa luz que ilumina nada e ilumina todo.

Una casa puede ser una casa, pero un hogar es el paraíso. Sin duda alguna, yo viviría allí, para contemplarme entre las estrellas.

I went to the house of some friends of mine in Guarenas and in the back of it, in a modest annex, a nice guy, humble as his walls, the color of the earth that make the human beings of my Venezuela worthy, he opened his doors ... that was all his affective universe.

There I am, in his world, half-way, blurred, incomplete,
there he is, head down, in the door, looking without looking, showing what he is ... that light that illuminates nothing and illuminates everything.

A house can be a house, but a home is paradise. Without a doubt, I would live there, to contemplate myself among the stars.
