Tesla & the Model 3 - Is it time to start looking at electric cars?

in #cars7 years ago

You could say Tesla vehicles, especially the Model 3, have become an obsession of mine.  It really seems cars are moving towards electric.

I first became interested in Tesla vehicles when I test drove the Model S.  The Model S is Tesla's top class of electric cars above the Model 3.  Because the car is electric, you get instant torque when you push down the accelerator.  It also was able to go from 0-60mph in just 2.5 seconds.  It was a huge thrill and it made me fall in love with the car.

However like many others, the Model S is way out of my price range.  Tesla has finally started production on its Model 3.  The Model 3 is a mid-class luxury car starting at $35,000 USD.  This is still at the top of my price range but is much more affordable to car owners.  The ownership costs of an electric car help out with the price point along with the savings in gas.  New reservations can expect to get their car around late 2018.

The basic Model 3 has an estimated 220 mile range with 5.6 second 0-60mph time.  The larger range of 310 has a 5.1 second 0-60mph time.

The interior is also sleek and simple with a touch screen to control everything.  I can not wait to get mine sometime mid 2018.

Hopefully this has sparked your interest in Tesla along with electric cars.  If you have any questions or ideas for further posts on Tesla vehicles, let me know in the comments below!!
