Yes. Love Trumps Hate was a myth and democracy in the American republic is still working even though those that despise the republic love the republic's tools that are allowing them to completely dismantle it in favor of a Statist Authoritarian Technocracy.

I, personally, would be very happy to see California secede, and be rapidly retaken by Mexico.
This is the same Xavier Becerra that provided a false disk image to the police in order to obstruct the investigation into the Awan spy conspiracy. Even if California secedes, he would be subject to the extant law at the time, covering acts of high treason, IIRC.
It would be a fascinating lesson for California to lose water, federal dollars, and have to actually meet the needs of their population with their own work and resources - until they came groveling back to the US within a year.

Ha! I knew there were some insane people in the US (honestly, the left is notorious for making a fuss about everything they do so it's hard not to notice), but Calexit? That's just absurd. Why would you even do that?
In regards to Catalonia... Well, I'm not exactly pro-secession, but this kind of repressive actions from the government are unacceptable. Leave it be and you'll end up being openly shot at for protesting - Take it from someone who has taken tear gas bombs to the legs and choked on the stuff more times than he'd like to remember.
Those episodes in your life chocking on tear gas would likely make for some good articles here in Steemit. If you have not already, you may want to post a few of them. I am sure to see them as I am now following you.
Oh, I've thought about it. It's just that... Well, I wanted to get some unrelated articles out and get to know the community first. I want people to know a bit of who I am first. I want to show that those experiences, as well as others this insane country provides, happen (and happened) to all kinds of people, not only to hardcore revolutionaries or anarchists. I was just a guy trying to take a stand for what he believes in.
Do expect some articles like that in the future, however. I've got some interesting ideas and a lot of stories to tell aside from my works of fiction!
