I took a day off.

Today, I wasn’t in the mood to go to work, so I took a day off. I know I won’t get paid for it, but I wanted to live for myself for once. Being single gives me the privilege of losing a day’s salary without worries. What did I do today? I did nothing extraordinary. I slept, read and had lots of fun.

This is my entry for the contest: 300 characters about today - 37. I am sure this has 300 characters only.

    This sounds like a wonderful day, and you're absolutely right. It's good to take a step back every now and then, and without a family, there are indeed fewer financial worries. I hope you're well rested. You don't always have to be tense.
