I wrote something along this line last year, it is a narration of keeping something secret for a particular set of eyes. It is definitely not for public attention or public eyes.

The first time I heard about this expression is from a movie in the 007 series, the title is the same as this, "for your eyes only". The words were said at the end of the movie when the lady was undressing, she said, "for your eyes only darling". I love the link in the movie, it makes it intriguing.

For your eyes only makes it for private set of eyes, the public's attention is not needed.
