Hobby is what you do at your leisure time, something you love doing. It is like a social activity that relaxes you, maybe after you've being through a lot. Your hobby is supposed to make you happy and it is something that is fun to do.
Whether cheap or expensive, your hobby should be affordable and relaxing. It should be something you can give anything for. You just seem to find happiness in your hobby.
You don't have to impress people with your hobby, they certainly would not understand. It is a personal decision and a personal choice.
I remember when I was an undergraduate, I go for training and play football every week. I really loved it; it keeps me fit, connects me socially, and I really enjoy the sport.
But folks keep asking me why I stress myself playing football, they wonder what I derive from it. I know they cannot understand, I have to do what I love. My hobby keeps me happy, and I create time for it.
Don't let anyone discourage you from having a hobby or enjoying it, having a hobby is very important, it relaxes you.
