Creatures at night and daylight...

Creatures are living animate being.
I use to think the word creature means monster.
But monster is also a creature, I assumed monsters are better described by the word.
But some creatures are different and they walk based on the time of the day.
Some are more acquainted with light, especially daylight.
During the day, they are hidden but when it is night, they come out to play. They have to return before dawn.
While some others prefer daylight to night.
Creatures differ, and so does their function.
Creatures during the day and creatures at night, they are all creatures in the end.
