I learnt recently that accepting the obvious will do you a lot good than struggling with what you cannot change. The energy put into struggling and fighting can be channeled into something else, something productive.

We had a disagreement, my friend and I.
He was in the wrong, I knew this for sure.
I tried talking him out of it but he insisted taking this path.
Eventually, it was too late to turn back when he realized he was wrong.
Fair enough, he could remember I told him.
And despite his error, I was there for him all through his trying times.
