It can be challenging to look into someone's eyes and tell him or her what they don't want to hear, especially when you are in their favour.
You should speak your mind when given the opportunity.
Trying to impress people would put you in trouble, you would bite more than you can chew.
Saying, "I don't know" does not mean you are ignorant or foolish, it is just as the words say "I don't know".
The fact that you do not have a particular information does not mean you are written off.
You should be proud saying, "I don't know" because you get to gain more knowledge by listening to those who are knowledgeable than you are.
Where I come from, people have been misled because someone refused to say I don't know.
People lost and finding direction to where they are going are often shown the wrong way by those who could not say I don't know, they simply wanted to know.
I have experienced this myself.
You don't know is not a crime, improve yourself and do better.

I agree with you; saying "I don't know" is easy. In fact, some people don't dare to say ....NO... When we focus on getting others to recognize us for always being on their side—that is, for impressing them—we stop being ourselves.
