The Great Depression || Prompt
The great depression of 1930 was one of the toughest times in the history of the world. The economy crumbled totally, and the savage in humans took the best of them. Currency lost it's value, which means even the wealth of the wealthy was worthless. Everyone is equal, striving for survival.
I teach this history to my students and how it affects the economy. It was such a time. Depression is as a result of an irrecoverable recession, and it destabilized the economy. Money was useless because it could not buy or sell. Such a time is not a time to witness. No matter how much you have, it could not do anything.
I guess that's why it was called "the great depression", because the like as never been seen before or after, I sincerely hope the like will never be seen again. It is indeed a terrible time to witness.
Just as the name implies, people get depressed and it breeds hopelessness. And we know depression is not a term, it does not inspire courage or hope.
I don't want to convert this post to a lecture, but the great depression is quite an historic situation.
