I'd like you to join me as we observe how garlic is planted and hear the story behind this process.

I chose this community to publish this post about agriculture because CCC has become my favorite community, and I wanted to share this story with you.

Every year, garlic planting begins in early December. This year, due to weather problems, we couldn't plant it because the soil was waterlogged, so we decided to plant it later.

Once the water dried, we proceeded to plow the land, making furrows and paths where the garlic could grow well. Here is a photo of what the land looked like afterward.

Planting garlic presents many challenges. Sometimes the soil is too wet, and occasionally we run out of garlic cloves to plant and have to get more. It's important to note that this planting is done by hand, and all the work is done by people, not machines.

After tilling the soil, planting begins. The seeds are placed in sacks according to their size and also in buckets to make planting easier. Here's a photo of some garlic cloves and the sacks so you can see them.

I also help plant garlic, although I'm not very good at it 😅. I prefer weeding the rows that are harming the garlic; I'm much better at that.

Anyway, even though I don't know how to plant garlic, I took a picture of the rows of soil that were already planted. This is what the soil looks like after planting. One very important detail: the garlic cloves are planted at a specific distance so that the plant can develop properly. Look at the photo.

This is all the work done so far, although in three months I might publish another post showing how I braid the garlic, since that's when the harvest will be ready.

It's very rewarding work, as growing these herbs is very satisfying, but I must clarify that once planted, there's a lot of work to be done during those three months it takes for the garlic plants to grow. That's the part every farmer dreads, as it's three months of hard work. But well, in the end, the reward is worth it. This is a method that can be considered traditional, as it has been planted this way for a long time.

Before I finish, I want to mention that when I started on Steemit, I also published a post about garlic, but it's completely different from this one. In this post, I explain the points more clearly and also cover other topics. Also, I've learned to write better thanks to all of you, thank you very much.

Thank you very much for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed this story about garlic. See you very soon, friends.
