When it comes to euphemisms, flexible is the favorite of the unscrupulous and those without principles.

When they ask you to do something morally questionable, they always say “You must be more flexible”, because they know what they want is not right.

Because although flexibility could be considered a virtue, one must be careful about where it may lead.

If your inner voice calls your attention, you are not being flexible—you are doing something you will probably regret later.

That is why I often prefer to be labeled inflexible rather than have someone point the finger at me for being wrong, because stepping on principles is something I will never call being flexible.
