Daily Prompt | One temptation

There is no person in the world who can say they have never fallen into one temptation, even if it is as innocent as finishing the chocolate ice cream and leaving the container in the freezer.

What, apart from being a fall into the abyss of temptation, is also a kind of mischief that I will never understand why certain people do.

I remember the time when we all lived in my parents’ house: someone in the family, I don’t know who, used to finish any product and leave the empty container inside the refrigerator.

I never understood what goes through someone’s mind to do that. To give in to one temptation is human, but to create a false expectation that ends in disappointment when opening something we want to consume only to discover it is empty, is inhuman.

No existe en el mundo una persona que pueda decir que nunca ha caído en una tentación, aunque ésta sea tan inocente como acabarse el helado de chocolate dejando el envase en el freezer.

Lo que aparte de ser caída al abismo de la tentación, es también una maldad que no entenderé por qué ciertas personas lo hacen.

Recuerdo la época en la que vivíamos todos en la casa de mis padres, alguien de la familia, no sé quién, solía acabarse cualquier producto y dejar el envase vacío dentro de la heladera.

Jamás entendí que pasa por la cabeza de alguien para hacer eso, ceder ante una tentación es humano, pero crear una falsa expectativa que termina en decepción al destapar algo que queremos consumir para descubrir que está vacío, es inhumano.
