Love at first sight, big mistake

A man walks through a city park, it's not the first time he's done this—in fact, it's his morning exercise routine, as he returns there in the evening to work out. He's always seen alone, serious, and thoughtful.

One day he arrives a little earlier than usual, has work to do, and decides to get up even earlier. He starts walking and jogging, and suddenly comes across a woman of about 35. He stops in his tracks, watches her run, and thinks... she's beautiful, I have to go over to her. He starts jogging and catches up to her. He approaches and says, "It's a beautiful morning, isn't it " She looks at him and replies, "Perfect for exercising."

He continues running beside her, chatting amiably; apparently, the woman does not mind this man's company.

The exercise ends, and he tells her, "Let's meet tomorrow to exercise." She replies, "OK..." A week passes like this. The man is falling more and more in love with her, and she seems to feel the same.

Day after day, the man gets up very early just to be by the woman's side; however, he notices something about her. Some days she's very happy, and other days she argues about everything, but he's in love and doesn't care.

After a month, he decides to tell her how he feels. He arrives as usual; she's already working out. He greets her and says, "I have to tell you something." She looks at him and replies, "Don't tell me you're in love with me. It wouldn't be the first time I've heard that nonsense." He looks at her and says, "That's what I was going to say." "Forget it," she says. "I'm not in the mood for that nonsense. If you want to be my friend, fine, but NO love."

The man looks at her and replies, "I can't be your friend." She answers, "Then get lost. You men fall in love too easily, you're fools. I prefer women. In fact, I like a young woman who comes here to exercise. Look, it's her..." The man says, "Keep her..." The woman replies, "That's exactly what I'm going to do."

The man walks away from the place, watches the woman approach the young woman, and thinks, "I'm an idiot, ¿ how could I not have realized that this woman is lesbian?"
