Soaking wet... [Freewriters Daily Prompt - Monday]
He looked into the sky... Gray clouds were looming and he could hear thunder from a distance. The smell of rain was faint but close. His mind drifted to a conversation he had with a girl he hardly knew but got to know more in the past few weeks. "Have you ever played in the rain?", she asked then.
He has never been one who socialize but when his messenger got intertwined with his friend's, a girl started messaging him, thinking he was his friend. He didn't think much about it. He entertained her, replying to her questions about the little things, reading her complaints about her work and her thoughts about life in general. Although it has just been four weeks ago that they started chatting, there was something about her that kept him going with their chats. Sometimes, he felt like disappearing. "Just ignore her" he thought. But he couldn't.
"Don't think. Let go of your worries, and just dance in the rain. Try it!", she said. "Feel and taste the rain!" she added.
Just as raindrops started to appear, he opened his palm to feel the rain. And without much thought, he walked into the rain. The raindrops grew heavier but he spread his arms out, and started dancing. He was soaking wet but he was smiling.

Bathing in the rain and feeling the raindrops on your body is very refreshing. I also enjoy the rain with my children. Often, I want to enjoy the cold rain by bathing, but since a person is already shivering in the cold, the thought of going into the rain makes me shiver, but enjoying the hot rain by bathing is very enjoyable.
A cold rain is shivery :) But where I am at, a cold rain is better than a hot rain (when it rains in the sun). Although the elderly will tell us not to play in the rain hehe. Thank you for dropping by.
