Bone Love

I loved you with broken hands, caressing your ribs like someone whispering promises in a nameless cemetery.
Our kisses had that earthy, sweet tang, like buried promises coming to life. Your eyes shone and shone, like candles flickering before a freshly dug grave.
You mentioned the eternity of love, but you didn't lie, you just overlooked the fact that eternity also has its drawbacks.
Today I hold you when you no longer breathe, when only bones remain, and yet... you belong to me.
Because even without flesh, voice, soul... my hands recognize you.
And if love is a monster, I fed it to you. Let's hope that if love is like a scare, it finds us huddled together, in shadows, clinging to each other, heart to heart.

I really love this one...it's a long time waiting for the love of life..to hold and feed. Kind of sad.
