Battlefield: We are young
It sounds like an idiotic expression. Who would say such a thing? A small child? A teenager (using it as an excuse), a middle-aged person, or an elderly person (both to reassure themselves that there are still plenty of opportunities and life isn't over yet?) Or is it Epstein and his cronies, still searching for the means to eternal life (pedophilia, sex parties, and cannibalism included).
We are young... does this mean that anything is still possible and all opportunities are there for the taking? Perhaps it's an expression used to keep one's spirits up. Unfortunately, it's rarely the case that you have a say in your own future. There's always someone trying to control your life or steer you in a direction you don't want to go, at least if you're not being deviously tricked.
Love is a battlefield? It shouldn't be. No promises, no demands? I think that's generally a lie. The average couple in love isn't so young and free. There's always one who gives in, gives up, waits and hopes. True love isn't a battlefield, but it is a strange thing. If love were that battlefield, and we lost ourselves, only to discover one day that love wasn't really worth forgetting everything and everyone, especially ourselves, then all the time spent together would be wasted.
Happy Valentine's Day to those who think this day should be celebrated with a partner. If not, perhaps it would be a nice idea to do someone a kindness. Leave a sincere comment. You're only as old as you feel, right? We are... young!
