Caterday...

#caterday was the hashtag used in Steemit on Saturdays to post about your cat. Through this hashtag the other posts could be found.
A while ago I saw someone using it again. It was good to see there are still remembering this. If it comes to old hashtags I once used #forthechildren and gave up on it as the diary game started. A diary shouldn't be treated like a game.

At the moment I’m working on various projects; the oil painting of the cat isn’t finished yet, and I’m sorting out which pieces to frame and fit with passe-partouts. I’ve got the label printer up and running and have made the first label, which features an image of the piece in question alongside my name, the medium used, the date and my email address; if the piece has a title, that’s included too. I’m going to stick this on the back of the skin painting. I’m still waiting for the stone stamp so I can sign some of my work.
There’s still an unfinished oil pastel where I need the palette knife, and I’ve also started a watercolour of the tomcat – this is going to be a present and I hope to finish it this week. As my watercolour paints aren’t very good, I went to see my art teacher today for a private lesson and to borrow some paint from her. What did I do in this lesson? I tried out watercolour wax crayons. The piece isn’t finished yet. I’m going to use a wet brush for part of it. Even the teacher can’t help me with this, as this chalk is new to her too.

And then, of course, I’m also working on the clothes, the trousers… What a faff! And no, I didn’t take them home to finish them. I’ve just been told they could have been sold today – which, as far as I’m concerned, would have been brilliant, as it would have saved me having to add extra fabric. I’m still going to think about whether I’m actually going to do this.

Now I just need to decide what I’m going to do on #caterday. My day off might turn into a day of travelling, or I might head down to the cellar and tackle some overdue chores, or who knows – I might just spend the whole day in bed because the rest of the week has already been one long ‘caterday’.
