Silence and Bustle

Actually, I’ve been saying for days that I want to take it easy, but as soon as I’ve been out of bed, the hustle and bustle begins. It doesn’t matter how quiet I keep myself; there is always something to do or someone who wants attention. In any case, today I decided not to paint anything. No doors; the doors have to wait. Although it is Shield Group Day, I didn't participate for the first time and didn't pick anything up either. The Betta fish is still standing there unfinished. In the meantime, I have done all sorts of other things and also drawn, although the drawing isn't progressing very quickly. Sometimes it just stays at cubes; I don't find just lines interesting. The weather was pretty good, but I’m not going to sit outside because the glass is high up, there are ticks again, and the new lawnmower still hasn't arrived. On top of that, the cat wants attention too, and she is inside and can't go outside because one of the sick dogs is running loose.

Speaking of sick, I felt pretty awful this morning as well. And that hasn't stopped. I would have liked to spend a day in bed, but that bed is far from comfortable despite the new mattress. So I got all the work done at a slow pace, which ultimately came down to hours of reading on Steemit and writing comments. And now I've had enough of the silence and bustle.

Goodnight everyone. Tomorrow I take a day off.

It's good that you designated a day off, mostly the days off aren't really that. Like, I work on holidays, I don't have any schedule, so it feels laid back. Going with the flow.
Yet having in my mind that work is laid back, days feel less stressed.

Strangely, when we have a new mattress, feeling comfortable isn't so easy, possibly because we were used to the old one, but you'll get used to it.

I hope you were able to rest on your day off. Sometimes it's necessary to disconnect from everything, especially when you're not feeling well.

Not really, yesterday I felt exhausted after more painting doors. At least it looks more clean now and so does the kitchen. My youngest bought plastic baskets and most things in the cupboard I put inside so I don't have to see it (or clean it due to the smoke of the fire). It's not finished yet but a huge step forward.
Today the youngest and I intend to take care of the garbage and do some shopping plus I offered months ago to practise parking the car here and there in different ways with her.

Fire? I hope that's just a metaphor, or that the insurance covers all the damages. You have to take things one step at a time so you don't get exhausted, at least that's my Homer Simpson-style philosophy 😆

We have to make a fire to keep the place "warm" and fire causes smoke inside.

I never knew Homer Simpson has some philosophy to share. He looks rather dumb. I prefer Cartman (South Park). Smart and nasty kid.

I hope you are feeling better by now.
Is it because the mattress feels unfamiliar that makes you feel uncomfortable?
