Snow Fun

If this would be a painting of Anton Pieck I would enjoyed to look at it, but isn't, it's just a photo that reminds me of his old paintings. It's not as attractive as the paintings but still. There were times I was ice skating on the lake in the village nearby. It feels like a long time ago and the overall scenery looked better as on this photo most likely because it was ice skating, people literary holy and other hands or behind a chair to practice this skill. I am not sure if the lake is still used although ice skating already happened on natural ice just not natural water.

The paintings of Anton Pieck where quite famous and you could find them in nearly every school class. Take a few a lot to study. At nearly every centimeter something was happening. I miss those posters. Unlike the photo they didn't give that called atmosphere common to winter, to ice, which takes, at least for me, every snow fun away.

Some like it's called and I believe that I miss snow even they never had it but to my opinion you can't miss what you never had and I am not the only one belief in this. Missing is something related to what you had, not what you would like to experience or what you believe is great just cause you heard about it or saw it in a film.

Snow angels? I never made one and with me many people never did I even doubt if it's a Dutch thing to do.
The sled? Yes, it's very common to have one to use it if you go to school or if you go out with your children or better as a child your parents pull you. The same codes for ice skating. I used how many times even as I went to school to skate over the street since it was frozen. Back then it was a normal thing to do, today most likely the efforts child cannot ice skate simply because they never learned it. For sure ice skating is typical Dutch and not part of the culture of many foreigners living in the country, which I find a pity.

Today it seems we all together have less fun. All those things we used to do are all of a sudden dangerous and everything is used to keep us inside. Interesting enough the hospitals are not filled with people with broken legs part or the accidents due to the weather.
