Playing Old Civ 6 - Day 4 Foundation Completion

Today is the fourth day I am re-playing civilization 6 again.

What were my goals for today?

1. Finish my naval city
2. Finish my military city
3. Get another world wonder for my city.
4. Preparation for religion wars, by converting many new city to my religion.

Ok let see what just happened today

after entering the After Century timeline, we had this world congress. It was not important for me regarding I needed to do something else maybe this one would benefit other civilization more than mine, but I took this as a distraction.

Soon after it, I finished the Machu Pichu wonder. This was the second wonder I had built, both were in the same city, in my capital. Everything progressed smoothly as I planned before.

Finally I got my Viking Longship, a unit I should have got early phase but because of no coastal city, I could get this one later. It was also a sign that my Naval City had been established well.

My Viking Longship found out that the Japs had been building a strong army. This was a big threat to me, before I thought they would attack my Civilization using their religion only. I needed a new plan to surpress their military advance.

My Cities

Nidaros, my capital, should be the biggest city in the world. Not one of, but the one. I set it to build Industrial Zone, because I want it to build one more wonder, maybe the last one for this city, later.

Bergen is my second metropolitan city. I want to build a wonder in it and Colosseum looks great for it. However It has low production rate, so tonight I will re think again whether I will still do it tomorrow or not. The possibility I might lose is quite big.

Skien is my Naval City. I want to build a commercial zone so it will turn Skien into gold generating city. I haven't seen any necessity to build up maritime prowess, regarding the biggest threat, Japan, is focusing on land army and religion missionaries.

The last one, my military based, Skedsmo. It has the power to compete against Paris. Honestly I could fight france and capture that Paris, but it would leave my south east side open to Japan army.

The Next Goals

Today is as busy as yesterday, even I play less time maybe. So for tomorrow, my goals are very simple.

The first one: Established a new military based city

I see some open space here, I could build a city there and set an encampment as part of my regional defense. The Japs will have to fight that city first. That is my first goal, a secondary military based after Skedsmo, so when I attack France, Japs won't backstab me.

The second one is about getting another wonder. The Colosseum, or other. I haven't decided today, maybe tomorrow I will decide it when I log in again.
