Another Day Of Playing Cur8 Games’ Survivor Arena
I logged into the Cur8 platform and played the new-to-me game, Survivor Arena. I used my established profile name (@entity01), which is presently Level 1 (Novice). To all intents and purposes, the game is your typical ‘survival of the fittest’ shoot ’em up – stay alive while an ever-growing army comes your way!
I chose to play with the Cyber Soldier character for my first session.
I found theControls to be straightforward; a joystick was present (for mobile users), as were typical keyboardControls (WASD / direction arrows). Automatic fire also helped reduce complexity – leaving me to focus on navigating the enemy waves and positioning myself strategically. My chosen battlefield was designated ‘Void Abyss’. The game begun leisurely, my early actions netting 25 kills and a score of 750 (still at Level 1 with 150/150 health) when 60 seconds on the clock ticked by.
The action then started to get real.
As I approached level 7, my screen exploded into activity, and just after achieving a score of 12,220 and a total of 184 kills, a portal appeared asking if I’d like to proceed, just before I got hit with an ‘Exploder wave’ – eleven, gigantic enemies barreling in my direction! At this stage, I had collected four weapons – including basic blaster, drone, boomerang type weapon and a wide array of rockets. My unfortunate demise came during that explosive flurry; here are my ‘results’:Final Score: 18,099Time survived: 03:14Enemies killed: 268Level attained: 7XP achieved: +4.49 XPQuite the adrenaline rush for three minutes of gameplay, for sure.
