Blocky Road on Cur8 Game

I just discovered this game called Blocky Road on Cur8 Games and I'm already kinda hooked. This is one of those games that you always mean to play for just five minutes but then an hour later and you still want to go again.

First off I love the Daily Login Rewards. I have just collected my Day 1 reward and got 10 coins, and that little fire icon with the "1 day streak" just popped up and somehow feels surprisingly addictive. It's not much, but it already has me looking forward to tomorrow's "20 coin bonus" and it really does keep you coming back for more.

The game play itself is another "classic" voxel-style infinite runner. If you know anything about crossing the road or crossing the street type games you will be familiar with the mechanics but it feels very crisp. All you have to do is "Cross the road without getting hit!" but when you click on that Start Game button things are chaotic. You run in a procedurally generated world. You may be avoiding a car in the Classic Meadow or trying not to get flattened by a super high-speed train or making jumps over floating islands or what not.

The controls are easy, you can either tap or swipe. The graphics style is very colorful and has a nice chunky blocky feel to it which reminds me of the games in that nice retro-modern age. My current score is 25 which I doubt is any world record but considering this is my first game that will do.

I can already see the "Game Over" and the green "Play Again" button staring at me tempting me. I can also see you can Change Map for various XP multipliers, so there are many more worlds for us to unlock. If you want a cheap quick fix arcade game to help pass a few minutes then give this game a try.
