Entering the "Flow State

in CCS10 days ago

My mood is very high since I have just broken my personal record in Pentris with a whopping 316 points! Given the fact that I believed that 30 points was a feat, I felt that I was in another plane of concentration when I reached 316. At this stage the game is no longer a puzzle, this is a test of my mental stamina and spatial skills at high speed.

I had to learn the so-called Flow State of gamers to make 316 points. In Pentris, as I am playing with 12 different pentaminos each consisting of five squares, the board gets filled at a horrifying rate. Even at the upper stages I attained in this exercise, I could not dare think, but I was forced to trust wholly to my instinct.

The "X" and the "W" Strategy: I understood that I must ensure that the center of my board remains slightly low compared to the sides. This well approach has enabled me to lose the heavy components of the boards, namely the X and the W, without leaving the frightening spaces that tend to ruin my game.
Quick Rotation: I become so rotationally fast that in most instances I turned pieces 3 or 4 times before I could see them at the top of the screen, yet I knew where I had to fit them.

The Survival Factor

The only thing that was interesting in this run was the sheer speed. After reaching 200 points, the force was so exerted that the pieces were virtually being teleported to the bottom. I was forced to keep my surface perfectly flat with not even a single two blocks high bump otherwise I would have been in a "top-out" and my run would have been over immediately.

Breaking queues this fast was an unbelievable rush of adrenaline. A score of 316 points informs me that at last I am no longer an amateur gamer. I am not only responding to the blocks; I am making the disorder. I have already decided my next session to see whether I will be able to extend my limit to the 500 points mark!

Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @kafio, @wirngo and @lirvic to try this game.
