First tried out Cur8 Games

Just tried out Cur8 Games for the first time and the interface is pretty sweet! Immediately the competitive/high stakes angle comes across with "Play, Earn, Compete" and signing in with Steem Posting Key felt very connected. It’s nice that my playing time can contribute to the ecosystem in some way and that I'm not dealing with a standard boring mobile game grift.

Decided to start with Survivor Arena v1.0.0-it’s an action-roguelike where the game takes place on a toroidal field where enemies spawn and are unable to leave. My first game was in the Void Abyss and things escalated fast. I dig the dark/neon aesthetic and the glowing green balls of XP you collect feel surprisingly satisfying.

Summary of my first playthrough:

• reached level 2 and 71 kills before things become a little hectic
• I managed to pick up a pistol and rocket launcher relatively early, which proved useful with my loadout being filled with weapons, and keeping gameplay fresh.
• scored 3500, which I consider okay for a first game (but you can definitely see a considerable amount of skill will be needed to get through levels once my screen is packed).

When I finish my game, I view my dashboard and my account is currently Level 1 Novice, and 0 XP to get to Level 2. But my '1 Game Tried' stats certainly have me wanting to jump back in for another go. A good arcade-y feel to it, a good gameplay loop to draw you back in, the 'just one more go' feeling is addictive, and once I have a few upgrades on the board, I am going to dive right into the weekly bonuses and the leaderboard.
