Light pillars
Have you ever seen the Aurora borealis crown? I saw it! This is when the aurora is at its zenith – the rays diverge in different directions from the center. Have you ever seen light poles? I saw it! And the crown of the light pillars?... Is this even possible? I was surprised too...
Even 17 mm was not enough for me to show the height of the pillars! But it turned out perfectly to convey their brightness.
Outside the city, like the aurora borealis, they are better visible.
I have a series of city light poles, but I don't even want to show them after these.
The rays from this optical phenomenon, if you lift your head up, converge at almost one point at the zenith.
This winter is generally rich in light pillars – I've seen them at least five times, and filmed them three times.
But this time I surpassed all the others in strength, after which I don't even want to photograph other weaker manifestations of the light pillars anymore.
This is not exactly nature, as the pillars from the lanterns are formed, but still a very rare and interesting phenomenon.
I even saw and photographed a light column from the moon! it turns out that this is also possible.
And these pillars manifest not only upward, but also downward.
In general, I shouldn't have rushed to the city as soon as possible - they are not visible there at all.
And even in the same place, the pillars manifest themselves in different ways, depending on the direction: you stand in one place and see bright pillars, turn in the other direction - they are not there, although the lamps are bright.
