ECO-LENS CHALLENGE, Mouth fly, Drainfly, Pakistan
Assalam u alaikum,
Drainfly
Family
This is a pest that is also known as the drain fly and moth fly. It belongs to the psychodidae family and is commonly found in homes.
Body
They have short hairs and feathery bodies that give them a cute insect appearance. These flies usually live in plumbing drains and sewers where organic food is provided for their larvae. This is why they are called drain flies.
Habitat
Young flies mostly prefer to live in bathrooms or areas around them that are humid because they have a greater chance of breeding there.
Not harmful
The presence of these flies does not pose any threat to humans, nor do they bite humans or cause diseases, but a large infestation can be dangerous. The presence of these flies indicates that water is stagnant in a place and organic material is accumulating.
Size
These insects have broad, oval-shaped wings on their bodies, and their antennae are long and fuzzy. They cover themselves with their wings after flying and then hide when they land. The veins on their wings are full of colors. Most of these insects are no more than six millimeters long, or about 1/4 inch.
Ways to avoid flies
These flies are not harmful, but when they infect a sensitive person, it is disturbing. To prevent the breeding of these flies, their breeding places, such as drains and organic sludge areas, should be cleaned. Either a stiff brush is used to clean them or organic sludge-removing cleaners are sprayed, which can get rid of these flies.
Source of information
I got information about this fly from the internet. By the way, it is usually seen in our homes, but not everyone knows about it. And since our house is in an open area, drain pipes are open in a place where these flies are common.

I never saw a fly like this, sand-, horse-, stable- and fruit flies yes. It seems this one isn't a real plague especially not if you are clean and take their sources to breed away".
I found a site with solutions:

I like some of your photos not because of the fussy body but the silver wings.
Right now wehardly have flies or insects thanks to the winter. As soon as Spring starts they all pop out of wherever they hide.
