Close-ups of "Orthoporus ornatus" | photooftheday

Greetings, photography lovers of the Camping Club Steemit Community. It's been a while since I've posted here; the reason is that I've been busy with activities outside of Steemit, such as starting postgraduate studies.

I don't want to bore you. My passion for macro photography remains strong, and I take every opportunity to get up close, like a paparazzi, to photograph insects and plants.

Close-ups of "Orthoporus ornatus"

Slide the slider to see...

Today I bring you these shots of a millipede, which, according to Wikipedia, has the scientific name "Orthoporus ornatus." Like other millipedes, it has two pairs of legs on each body segment. This particular one caught my attention because of its length (about 12 centimeters).

--

I think it was sick or dying because its movements were slow and it showed little attempt to flee. I took advantage of this to get close-up shots of its head.

In general, these arthropods are harmless; they're more frightening than dangerous. They love dampness, dark places, working at night, and feeding on plants and human waste, which is why they love to get into your house. Don't kill them when you see one; just shoo it away.

Well, @greece-lover

I've been testing your platform, and let me tell you, the experience hasn't been as pleasant as promised. I understand you might be thinking about current users who navigate from their mobile phones and have many apps for sharing content. But I'm not one of them.

1- I'm finding the learning curve difficult.

2- It's complicated to just copy and paste content. I CAN'T FIND AN OPTION for Markdown (many Steemians only use that format).

3- Publishing directly didn't work for me; neither did scheduling. The text that appears explaining any errors is in English; there's no translator.

4- The templates seemed too rigid and uncreative; I don't think I'll end up using any of them.

5- In the photo apps: Could you add a simple option to upload from a computer? I don't like downloading apps that don't make sense.

6- Have you checked this unnecessary automatic way of saving drafts? I hadn't even finished the post and there were already more than 15 incomplete drafts.

7- Apparently, it doesn't accept all users for their benefit; for example, @ccscurator, I had to change it for it to be published.

Anyway, the platform shows promise, but it's not very user-friendly for those of us from generations before Generation X or even before the advent of mobile phones. 😂🤣🤣
