A Day With the Bees: Discovering the Hive With My Friend Taher

Opening the beehive for a day of learning, care, and buzzing life.
Hello Steemians,
Today I’m sharing a special experience: a visit to my friend Taher beehives, where we spent the day learning about bees, checking the health of the colony, observing eggs and fresh honey, and enjoying a simple outdoor lunch cooked in an earthenware pot.
It was a mix of nature, work, discovery, and respect for these amazing creatures.
Taher Opening the Hive & Checking the Frames
My friend Taher began by carefully opening the hive. Using slow, calm movements, he lifted the frames one by one. We saw fresh eggs, worker bees, new wax, and golden drops of honey. His experience made every step look easy, but you could tell it required patience and knowledge.

My Turn : Discovering the Beehive Up Close
After watching Taher, it was my turn to open the hive and hold the frames. It was my first time getting this close, and the sound of the bees felt powerful calm but full of life. Holding the frame and seeing the bees working together was an unforgettable moment.

A Closer Look : The Bees, the Wax, and Their World
We also looked at a frame full of bees working on wax and building new cells. The smell of fresh wax, the sound of thousands of wings, and the perfect hexagon patterns make you appreciate nature's engineering.

Thousands of bees working on wax and honey a living masterpiece.
Lunch Time : Peas Cooked in an Earthenware Pot
After working with the bees, we prepared a simple, delicious lunch: peas slow-cooked in an earthenware pot over fire. The taste was rich, smoky, and perfect for a day outdoors.
