My Morning With a Beautiful Parrot
Every morning in my garden brings a surprise, but today’s visitor was truly special—a stunningly beautiful parrot perched gracefully on a tree in my lawn, enjoying a quiet breakfast all to itself.
The sun had just begun to climb, casting golden light through the leaves, when I spotted a burst of vibrant green, blue, and crimson among the branches of my mango tree. At first, I thought it was a trick of the light—nature playing with my eyes—but then it moved. It was a parrot, bold and bright, its feathers glowing like living jewels against the soft green of the foliage.

I stood still, not wanting to scare it away. The parrot seemed unfazed, busy nibbling on seeds and tender young leaves. Its beak worked with precision, expertly cracking open shells and plucking morsels with care. It tilted its head now and then, one bright eye scanning its surroundings—curious, alert, yet utterly at peace.
Watching it, I forgot about my to-do list, my phone, the buzzing world beyond the fence. There was something mesmerizing about the way this wild creature claimed a moment of calm in my own backyard. It wasn’t tamed or trained—just freely being itself, enjoying nature’s bounty.
Parrots are known for their intelligence and social nature, but this one was alone—perhaps a wanderer, or maybe just a solitary soul needing a quiet meal. Still, its presence felt like a gift. In a world where we’re constantly rushing, seeing this bird savor its food, surrounded by trees and sunlight, reminded me to slow down and appreciate simple joys.

After a few peaceful minutes, it flapped its wings with a soft whoosh and soared into the sky, a streak of color vanishing into the morning blue. My lawn felt a little quieter, a little emptier—but also a little more magical.
Nature has a way of showing up when we least expect it, reminding us of beauty, freedom, and life’s quiet wonders. And today, mine came in the form of a beautiful parrot, dining peacefully in my tree.
