Central Mosque, University of Okara
Hello everyone!
University of Okara has recently built central mosque in it. It is a beautiful wonder of art and architecture in the university. It is situated in front of the park ground and near the opened mosque area. They have built a beautiful architecture and design.
The exterior of the mosque looks really very impressive. On the left side there is a minaret with balconies at each step. The minaret has wide balcony at its base and onward the width of each balcony is decreasing. On the four sides of the minaret there are windows.
Then at the entrance there is a big circular dome which embellishes the beauty of the exterior to the next level. We can see some trees as well outside of the mosque.
This is the inauguration plaque of the mosque. The plaque represents the name of the mosque. At the bottom there is the name of the person who inaugurated this mosque. The mosque was inaugurated on Friday September 05, 2025. The inauguration plaque is made up of shining steel and it is fixed in a pillar.
On the sides near the entrance there is specific place on each side which is dedicated for the plantation. They have already planted some new plants there to enhance its beauty. Similarly on the other sides same plantation places are allocated.
This is the main road side entrance of the mosque. The entrance is big and it has a main gate and two smaller gates on sides. In the entrance there is a big dome at the top. The entrance design looks like a royal entrance design.
The mosque has built at higher levels than the base level of the university. So in order to get into the mosque there are some stairs. These are concrete stairs. On the stairs there is the use of marble tiles of black colour.
The mosque is very big. On all sides there is building in the form of gallery and central hall. The central part is empty but to maintain the decorum of the mosque the management has grown grass there to form a park. The park increases the beauty.
This is the mosque hall. It is very wide and spacious. On the floor marble has been installed which makes it more attractive and smooth. The walls have white paint. The interior is very peaceful and noise free.

The domes of the mosque are very wide. The mosque hall has the biggest dome which is on the left side. Similarly there is a small dome on the right side. The domes have glass windows on all sides. These bring light in the mosque.
There are a number of lights in the mosque to maintain the brightness in the mosque. The architecture of the mosque is in such a way that there are many windows on the side from where lights enters. Similarly there are several fans in the ceiling. All these things make the environment luxury and beautiful.
In the mosque there are two shelves. There are glass doors for these shelves. These are used to place Holy Quran and other islamic books.
In the mosque there are prayer caps. These are used by the people to cover their heads. Anyone can use these caps freely while offering prayers or reciting Quran. All these caps are very comfortable. I also used a cap.
Ablution is the most important element of each mosque. This is the Ablution area of the mosque. It is a square shaped ablution area where taps of water and seating supports are available. This is spacious at many people can use this at the same time.
Near the entrance and ablution area there is electricity control panel. It has major supply on and off switches. On the lid there is a meter which tell the incoming volts. It is very critical in the emergency and normal situations to manage the supply of electricity.
