Task 1

In order to complete the task 1 I have built a simple junction with four branches. I added two crossing directions.

I have used old signals on each branch before the junction. This setup of the junction using the old signals simply shows that how the block signals restrict the entry of the trains even when the train path do not directly conflict and causing the trains to wait and block the junction. Initially I have run 4 trains.

This is how the trans are using this junction. I have increased the number of trains and currently 7 trains are running on these tracks using the junction. The old signals are directing the trans to move where the path is empty and free.



Task 2

I have removed all the old signals from the junction. Now I will try to rebuild it for the smooth flow of the trains without blocking the junction for the long time.

I have extended the roads by making more paths. Then I have placed the path signals around the junction for the good flow of the trains. The trains are running on the tracks and and where they find any path in the junction they try to move there without blocking the junction. The trains did not block the junction now. But before the rebuilding the trains were blocking each other and I used to send some of them to the depot to get a free path.
