Hello Steemian in CCS Community Everyone

How are you all today, I hope you are doing well wherever you are

One day, I visited a fishing village not far from where I live. That day, the sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly, seeming to bake the skin of anyone beneath it. From a distance, my eyes fell on a young boy on a wooden boat. He looked intently pulling the ropes, his movements steady and powerful, despite his small stature. The sight left me speechless and slowly growing a deep curiosity.

My hometown is located in a coastal area, so the community's lives are inextricably linked to the sea. Every day, fishermen set out to sea, braving the waves and wind to bring home a catch for their families. The place I visited bears witness to the tough yet meaningful lives of those who depend on their boats for their livelihood.

As usual, I came there to photograph the fishermen's activities. Although I've visited many times, each visit always brings a new story. There's always a compelling moment to capture. This time, it wasn't the face of an adult fisherman that captured my camera, but rather the figure of a small boy busily preparing the boat—pulling ropes, lifting fishing baskets, and occasionally gazing out at the sea with a serene gaze.

My curiosity led me to speak with him. He innocently replied that he was still in school. All he did was an after-school activity—helping his father on the boat before they set out to fish. That simple answer stunned me. At an age that should have been filled with play, he was already learning about responsibility and hard work.

I was truly amazed by that child. Amidst the scorching sun and the harshness of coastal life, he grew up with a strong spirit. There was sincerity in every movement, as if he understood the meaning of struggle long before his time.

This is the short story I want to share through my camera lens this time. A simple portrait of the life of a fisherman and a little boy who is part of that struggle. I hope these photos and story can illustrate the beauty and resilience of those who live alongside the sea.
