​🌕 The moon is a piece of peace in the night.

When the daylight goes away, nature takes on a different look. There is a light, dim darkness all around, and the moon smiles through that darkness. For me, this time of night is the most favorite moment of the day. What a calm, mysterious silence all around—which brings a different kind of peace to the mind.

​I often stand on the roof or balcony at night. I love looking at the sky. Especially when the sky is full of clouds, and the moon peeks out from behind or through a gap in those clouds. When I see that scene, it feels like a game of hide-and-seek is going on between the moon and the clouds. Sometimes the moon is completely clear, shining like a round plate, and sometimes it is covered by a soft sheet of clouds.

​Tonight's sky was like that too. The moon is shining completely round, and there are patches of light clouds around it. The clouds are wavy, and the moonlight seems to give it a slightly reddish glow. It seems that some artist has applied soft colors to the sky with a brush. This light of the moon is not as intense as the light of the sun, but rather very soft, more like the light of a storybook. Everything seems more beautiful and magical in this light.

​When I stand at this time, all the busyness, noise, and worries of the day evaporate like camphor. It seems as if there is no distance between me and this nature. The moon is like an old friend of mine, who is silently by my side. Just looking at it makes my heart feel better. How beautiful and how easy life can be—this night's moon and the calm sky remind me of that again and again.
​Maybe this is why people have written so many poems and songs about the moon throughout the ages. This silent beauty actually calms our inner restlessness.
