Prosenoides flavipes-Bangladesh

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Everyone

This is @rumanaafroz, from Bangladesh.

Hello CCS colleagues,

I hope you are all well. God has kept me well and healthy by His grace.
I am here today to participate in this Eco Lens Map competition as I always do.
I am here today to show you a photography of a parasitic fly. It is a parasite on other insects. The female fly lays its fertilized eggs on the backs of other insects or on leaves near where the insects travel, where they can be picked up or eaten. Once the insect attacks the insect, a larva that hatches from the egg burrows into the insect and eats its insides. This is a gruesome way of growing, but this lifestyle reduces the population of some insects that are considered pests. Many garden-destroying caterpillars fall prey to parasitic flies and their early death can cause a good harvest. This particular species of insect is a species of beetle.

The benefits of parasitic flies seem to outweigh the larval feeding method, and many species are actually used as biological controls for pest species. Prosenoides flavipes adults drink nectar from flowers and have long proboscises and large red eyes. Two rows of barbed hairs between the eyes form a mohawk that is almost crisscrossed. The silvery body has small black spots and the legs are reddish brown. The black hairs are scattered throughout the body, especially on the back. This fly is harmless to humans. Look for this small fly when you are wandering among flowers and leaves in gardens and meadows.

I saw this fly sitting on the outside wall of my house. I didn't have my phone with me at the time, so I was wondering if the fly could fly inside to get it. But I was lucky, I brought my phone and saw that fly sitting there on the wall. The sunlight was shining on it. Its eyes became more beautiful in the sunlight. I was very happy to see it and took several photos of it from different angles. While taking photos, my eyes were getting stuck in the eyes of the fly, some standing hairs on its back were attracting me to look at it. This attraction kept telling me again and again that I have fallen in love with the beauty of every insect through photography. Before taking photos, I had never tried to see the beauty of small things like this. Ever since I started taking photos, the beauty of insects has always fascinated me. When I take photos, it seems that the creator has given so much beauty to every thing through his perfect work. I was able to take several photos of it and then it flew away.

A brilliant photograph, despite the fly's immobility. Your post felt very scientific today; it's not that science is bad, but I miss the stories you usually tell.

Your kind comments have encouraged me to work even more.

Flies stay in one place for quite some time, so it is very easy to photograph them. I have photographed several other types of flies before and I did not have much difficulty with their movement.
Thank you very much for your nice comment.

I face difficulty for this so I said this . Anyway you are the best photographer

Beautiful insects. Thanks for the invite
