Today, I want to share my experience of visiting the Saidpur Railway Workshop. Earlier, I wrote about different railway shops inside this largest railway factory in Bangladesh. I also shared some beautiful natural views of this place. Honestly, the nature here feels like it has embraced the engines and machines, creating a unique harmony between technology and greenery. It looks truly aesthetic.

There are lots of small roads crisscrossing the workshop. Since it covers a huge area, walking through some spots can feel a bit lonely because you hardly see any staff around. Sometimes you might find a security guard or two, but that’s about it. What I love the most are the old, giant trees standing here like silent witnesses of history. Their look fascinates me so much that I often stop, stare, and lose myself in the greenery around.

You’ll also find old buildings and engines here, and in this serene environment, their uniqueness seems even more prominent. In some places, abandoned railway coaches are lying around as if they are beyond repair. Covered in rust, these coaches blend with the green surroundings in such a way that they look striking in their own way. Even though they’re rusty now, who knows, maybe one day they’ll get repaired and return to life.

Walking along the roads, you can spot these abandoned coaches hidden among trees and bushes. Honestly, it feels like if you tried to explore them, you might find insects, snakes, or some unknown natural residents who have claimed these coaches as their home for years.

This workshop gives a detailed insight into the heritage of Bangladesh Railways and how railway repairs are done. At the same time, exploring the natural surroundings here and seeing those decades-old trees makes you realize just how historic this place really is. Personally, I love traveling to this workshop, it’s a place where history and nature blend perfectly.

I highly recommend others to visit this place because it offers a chance to experience the heritage of Bangladesh Railways and learn about its important workshops. This is the largest railway workshop in Bangladesh, and I truly invite everyone to explore it at least once!

I am inviting @rauja apu, @mohammadfaisal & @ae-arfin to take part in the contest.
