A Purple Symphony Along Hongjin Road
In early summer, Hongjin Road in northern Kunming is quietly transformed into a sea of soft violet by blooming jacaranda trees. Their towering branches arch gracefully above the street, while layers of blossoms drift like purple clouds beneath the sunlight. A gentle breeze sends petals fluttering through the air, like a tender rain of flowers. People and passing cars move slowly beneath the canopy, as if the entire city has softened beneath this dreamy shade of purple. In that moment, the gentle spirit of Kunming—the “City of Eternal Spring”—is perfectly captured in the bloom of the jacarandas.
