Xinghai Square

The largest city square in Asia and one of Dalian’s defining landmarks.
By day, you can feed seagulls and admire the sweeping curve of the Xinghai Bay Bridge. By night, the musical fountain show lights up the waterfront.

Lianhua Mountain Viewpoint

The highest peak within the city proper. From here, you can take in a panoramic view of Dalian and enjoy one of the best sea sunsets overlooking Xinghai Bay Bridge.

Fujiazhuang Park

Alongside Yanwoling Scenic Area and Beida Bridge, this stretch forms part of the most scenic middle section of Binhai Road. Perfect for hiking — mountains on one side, sea on the other — every step reveals a new view, especially at sunset.

Fisherman's Wharf Dalian

Perhaps the most distinctive section along the coast. Fishing boats, seagulls, and a lighthouse create a scene that feels like a small European harbor town.

Bangchui Island

Often misspelled, but unforgettable once visited. Known for having some of the clearest water in Dalian, this area brings together mountains, sea, island views, and beaches in one serene setting.

Zhongshan Square

One of the city’s most vibrant hubs. Ten roads radiate from the square, surrounded by ten historic buildings in Romanesque and Gothic styles — a living symbol of Dalian’s architectural heritage.

Sun Valley Scenic Area

Home to numerous historic sites, including the former Kwantung Government Office, Victory Tower, the Sino-Soviet Friendship Tower, and the former Kwantung Army Headquarters. The movie Goodbye Mr. Loser was filmed here.

Lushun Museum

The only National First-Class Museum in Dalian, established in 1915. The architecture itself is striking, while two remarkably preserved Gaochang mummies remain among its most compelling exhibits.
