The sea in Dalian is remarkably clear, the shoreline refreshingly clean, and seagulls are everywhere. Unlike the fine sandy beaches found elsewhere, Dalian’s coast is mostly a blend of coarse sand and smooth pebbles, lending the shoreline a rugged, understated charm.
