Under the Cherry Blossoms of Jiming Temple Road — When the Pagoda Lights Up

Beneath the cherry trees along Jiming Temple Road, I was lucky enough this time to witness the golden glow of the Medicine Buddha Pagoda shining through the blossoms.

I have visited several times to see the night sakura, but this evening felt different. I rushed there at dusk, only to find that the pagoda of Jiming Temple was already illuminated — and the best photography spots were completely surrounded by crowds. Squeezing into the sea of people, I managed to snap a couple of hurried shots. Each frame carried trembling petals and blurred silhouettes, the cold wind cutting through as rain began to fall harder.

Then, just as suddenly, the pagoda lights went out.

Disappointed, I started packing up, ready to leave — when the lights flickered on again, bathing the blossoms in warm gold once more. A winding, almost cinematic evening of chasing cherry blossoms — full of frustration, patience, and finally, quiet romance.
