Pumpkin flower is a well-known and useful flower in our country. It usually blooms on pumpkin vines during summer and rainy season. Pumpkin flower is bright yellow in color and looks quite attractive. These flowers bloom in the morning sunlight and turn pale in the afternoon. Pumpkin flower is not only beautiful but also quite popular as food. It is also cooked in bhaji, chachhari or dal. Pumpkin flower bran is a very tasty dish especially in rural areas. The flower is nutritious and also contains vitamins and minerals. Bees and other insects collect pollen from pumpkin flowers, resulting in pollination and pumpkin fruit growth. Therefore, pumpkin flower is an essential part of nature, which plays an important role in our food, environment and agriculture.

কুমড়া ফুল আমাদের দেশের এক পরিচিত ও উপকারী ফুল। এটি সাধারণত গ্রীষ্ম ও বর্ষাকালে কুমড়ার লতাগাছে ফোটে। কুমড়া ফুলের রঙ উজ্জ্বল হলুদ এবং দেখতে বেশ আকর্ষণীয়। সকালে সূর্যের আলোতে এই ফুলগুলো ফুটে থাকে আর বিকেলের দিকে মলিন হয়ে যায়। কুমড়া ফুল শুধু সৌন্দর্যের নয়, খাদ্য হিসেবেও বেশ জনপ্রিয়। এটি ভাজি, চচ্চড়ি বা ডালেও রান্না করা হয়। বিশেষ করে গ্রামাঞ্চলে কুমড়া ফুলের বড়া খুবই সুস্বাদু একটি পদ। ফুলটি পুষ্টিকর এবং এতে ভিটামিন ও খনিজ উপাদানও থাকে। মৌমাছি ও অন্যান্য পোকামাকড় কুমড়া ফুল থেকে পরাগ সংগ্রহ করে, ফলে পরাগায়ন ঘটে এবং কুমড়া ফল জন্মায়। তাই কুমড়া ফুল প্রকৃতির এক অপরিহার্য অংশ, যা আমাদের খাদ্য, পরিবেশ ও কৃষিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখে।
