In this post I have shared some images that shows a Pentris-style block puzzle game where the goal is to stack falling shapes and clear lines to earn points.

The game is currently in Free Play mode and the I have reached a score of 647 points before the screen filled up, resulting in Game Over.

How the Game Works

Different colored block shapes fall from the top of the screen.

• Player must rotate and move them left or right to fit them into gaps.

• When a full horizontal line is completed, it disappears and gives points.

• The game ends when the stack reaches the top and there’s no space for a new block.

Controls Keys

The right side shows the on-screen buttons:

• Left (←) – move block left

• Rotate ↻ – turn the block

• Right (→) – move block right

• Down (↓) – drop block faster

There is also a “Buy a Token” button which suggests the game may have a paid or tournament mode, and a “Play” button for restarting.

My Challenge

The key challenge is planning ahead. As a player i must manage space efficiently and stack blocks without leaving gaps. Once pieces pile up and no more lines are cleared, the board fills quickly leading to game over. All these are what I encountered.

My Score and Progress

I have a score of 647 which indicates that i managed to clear multiple lines but could still improve by:

• keeping the stack low,

• clearing lines more consistently,

• rotating pieces earlier instead of at the last second.
