The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

As many have you already know, I've lived in Las Vegas for more than 15+ years and never would of thought such a tragedy like this would happen in my own city that I truly love. 💙

This weekend we were on The Las Vegas Strip doing several "Steemit Meetups" that I wanted to post about today but this was more important than that. 👨🏼‍💻

Approximately around 10 p.m. Pacific Time, One of the biggest mass shootings in U.S. history happened at the country music festival filled with over 20,000+ people Near Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas.

All we know right now is the suspect has been identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock who was on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino when the shooting took place.

He is now confirmed dead by police and the current situation for the motive of the mass shooting remains unclear.

"Mad Prayers" and Condolences to all victims & their families who are affected by this tragedy. 🙏🏼

I also wanted to thank everyone that messaged me on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat this morning to see if I was alright.

It's to hard to respond to 1000+ Messages individually so I just wanted to say to everyone that we are all safe and sound here. Hope everyone else is ok. 😥

Just remember guys, life is short. That's why I always stressed to people to live everyday like it's your last because we just never know when it can instantly end.

Let's All Pray For Las Vegas 💞

I've lived in Las Vegas for more than 15+ years and never would of thought such a tragedy like this would happen in my own city that I truly love.

How can you love a cesspool? Oh well, to each his own. Anyway, stay safe and wear a vest.

Totally agree its a cesspool lol... but it's the best place to be an Anarchist and for a Business hub living in the states. No worries, I got my vest close by :)

agreed, I used to have a love/hate relationship with the city. One moment I loved every minute and the next moment I just wanted to leave. Still have great memories.

I'm not so ready to call Vegas a 'cesspool' .... I mean unless you're just a boring person who never parties, does not like to drink, and is afraid to talk to women.... js - Vegas is a party town; it's the place to be, 'for a good time' - and I think it does a great job of serving that purpose.

Do they allow some things in that city that other cities do not allow? Yep, they sure do - but does that automatically make the city bad??? Plus, there are all sorts of economic motivations to 'centralizing' most of what they allow in Vegas; there are people who run that 'Game' and don't really 'allow' it in other places; The Indian Reserve Casinos are new; and seem to be an exception; but even they have to follow 'rules' made by others....

Otherwise, just about every town in America would look more like Vegas does.

It was nothing but a live drill, a PsyOp hoax against the 2nd amendment:

Check out the stuff Dahboo7 came out with.

I am going to take a STEP BACK for just a moment and not say that this event did or did not happen. A lot of this MASS Shooting stuff may be a FALSE FLAG. You don't know and I don't know if any of this went down the way the LYING MEDIA tells you. Give this a week or two to see what comes out with people that are really going to do some investigation into what really happened. Remember The Powers that Be always have an Agenda. Look at all of the comments here in @stackin's posting. so sad, this was terrible, my condolences.......and so on. As humans in society there is no better way to Control you then playing on your EMOTIONS. I say take a STEP BACK see what comes out over the next few weeks. So many of these so called horrific events are just a way to gain more control over the lives of the masses. Think for yourself don't be swayed by FAKE NEWS. You have a brain and the ability to think critically. Take a STEP BACK and leave your emotions at the door. We know the TRUTH will come out. God Bless you all Steemians and Thank you for letting me comment...........As @jerrybanfield would say I Love You All.

I don't know if it's fake news, a false flag, or what, but I do know that it's a great time to start paying attention when things like this happen

I know I am getting old when I see people getting all emotional over these events that in my mind are orchestrated for an Agenda. Take it with a grain of salt.......I always question the reality of these events. Thank you @staticinstance for your comment to my thoughts .

hmmm ... I follow conversations on False Flags; and the Kabal using 'fear' to manipulate society into what it wants; and so I follow what you're talking about. But I also have an understanding that these Evil organizations you speak of, practice ceremonies where they "burn Care away" --- so in a way I think we should be careful with 'not caring'; there is a balance between knowing there may be 'more to the story' --- but also; understanding that people have lost loved ones; and we live in a society that needs changes.

Unfortunately what happens is the "Fear that We Cannot Change this" is what Emerges; and from That idea, comes more power for those already in Control; Let's say this guy actually DID murder people like we Saw on TV; (I have a Cousin who was IN that area; said people ran into her hotel for safety last night) --- so let's say he really did murder those people; was it of his own Volition?

Or was he under some kind of 'mind control' -- ? where as to this 'event' could be used to stir up fear within society; that can be used by those in power whom you speak of; Could be a lot going on; but i'm not ready to just say flat out 'this did not happen' --- it looks kinda like it did. In my opinion of course

Deep inside we all know the truth. It's how many Veils each of us has to pierce to fully come to an awareness of what is happening in reality.

Personally for me this looks like a False Flag.

Peace, Love, Gratitude

I'm glad you're safe, Charles!
The most tragical part is that these people came to have fun, enjoy some music, dance and simply have a good time... Have no words :-(

My heart and Prayers go out to all the victims & family affected by this tragedy. Almighty God, You said in your Word that you will never leave us nor foresake us, so I ask that Your Holy Spirit comfort Your special people at this time. AMEN🙏 Glad to hear your ok @stackin "God Bless"

This was beautiful Queen @thesocialqueen

Live Every Day like it's the last, well said.

The truth! 💪🏼🙌🏼💯

Why on earth do always innocent people suffer when one Person has decided that he is not happy with society, that is so sad. I pray for all the victims that got hurt by this really tragedy event.

that's what sucks most about this. People do this 'all the time' and we're not doing a great job of addressing this as a society. Unfortunately, something needs to be done about 'gun control' -- but that's hard to do, with a police force that is out of hand. People kill where they live; an old #DickGregory saying - and this is yet another example of it; Sad all around.

Gun control aint the answer. Besides this guy had one that was illegal as hell!! Guns are "not" the problem . The problem is PEOPLE, and specifically the mentality/attitude of people! Take away guns and the crazies use knives; ask London. Or trucks,;ask France! Back in the more conservative 60-70's we had plenty of gun access but,............ We had NONE OF THIS CRAP! What we also did not have was a liberally charged society that was elitist minded always demanding their participation trophies for playing but coming in last. No, this has nothing to do with gun control it has EVERYTHING to do with maturity control.
This is a liberal-minded monster cut loose; it grew up and is now back eating the city. This sadly is a product of liberalism run amuck. I bet this guy turns out to be a crazy with attachments to the Left leaning ANTIFA or BAMN or ISIS etc... This about social maturity control not gun control. We need to address or social problems with why we have become such immature hateful thumbsucking babies with so many demands.

That's what we need to do. Because here, in the south we have guns in every house almost, but we dont go shooting each other up. It's not the guns that are to blame it the monsters of society. Why are there sooo many more now than decades ago? It's NOT because of guns.... But what we DO have is a sh!t-ton of ?
More liberalism screaming it's fool head off about everything under the sun that hurts its precious "feelings".

It's ugly but it's true, people/society have become pathetic, sissies "with power". Nothing beats an angry cowardly sissy with POWER and GOD forbid an echo-chamber on FascistBook etc to say Ummm-hmm yep you are right, rage on! Those are the monsters we are seeing and they are NOT products of a "conservative" society. It is what it is.

My Grandmother on my dad's side always said,... "Never back up, it usually just gets you in trouble. Just go forward" An "usually" thats true. However, my Grandmother on my Mom's side always said, " Always correct your mistakes" Now in this situation I would caution society that in this sitch it's an exception to correct our mistakes we must go back to a time that was producing happier people. What did they do? what were their lifestyles like that produced such a different (happier/more functional) society than today? No, gun control was not where we went wrong. But we do need to back up though. or it's gonna get worse and when the bad guys with guns start shooting again the first thing people do is pray for good guys with guns to help. Yaknow?

I'd venture to say it's "both" ............

It's a Gun problem --- And a People Problem.

Nukes don't kill people; people kill people. Yet we don't want 'some countries' to have Nukes because we don't think they'll act responsibly with those nukes. With thousands of mass shootings each year - mostly by white men, it is clear that 'something' needs to be done.

I'm not saying guns need to be taken from people. But doing nothing isn't the answer either. Until we fix the police issue, the 'argument' that governments will abuse us, if we do not have guns to protect ourselves, will continue to be a logical argument. What's ironic though, is the same people who don't Trust the government --- Think black NFL Players are disrespecting the flag, for pointing out how Police abuse black communities.

They are,... because the flag is "not" a representation of "police". The flag represents The country it's people and the soldiers-(which I was one) that risk their lives and"die" to keep us all safe and "free" to express our thoughts and pursue life liberty and happiness. Like each of the players have attained. Also, the players are paid to play ball not protest!
They should do that off the clock, on their own time! The people that pay their hard earned cash do NOT pay to see the NFL act like thumbsucking babies about a culture issue that is NOT an issue to the very people that pay them. If you doubt me look at the NFL support, it's tanking because of this. They were wrong and incredibly insolent.

There are absolute statistics by the FBI that completely blow the claim out of the water that cops are roll'n in the hood with an agenda against black people just because.
Statistically the biggest (by FAR) likelihood of a black man getting shot is by another black man. As well by FBI stats show white men are (by FAR) more likely to be shot by cops than black men are. And these are "facts". In fact it's been found that cops have a much higher tendency to slow roll into a black community area out of typical accusations that they are looking for black men to blame. So no, the actual stats do not support the false argument that we have an out of control cop problem insomuch as cops looking for black men to give trouble.

That being said I do NOT support blindly giving cops blind trust and power. Hence my position on the 2nd Amendment. The "police issue" if any is still one tiny petal on a larger flower of a social issue that has NOTHING to do with gun ownership. If we are disarmed we will be subject to a far more dangerous threat than a nut in a hotel room, the government. Historically, when governments take away the people's right to posses arms it's ALWAYS only a matter of time before the people become subjects of the state where the "rights" are given and taken at will by said government. Meaning the government becomes tyrants. The framers of our country were some of the most brilliant men of their time. If they were here and now with our tech etc no doubt they would still be the brightest. The point of that statement is They knew what would be best to have a proper balance of power between We the people and the government. So I err to their position on it. and their position then was for the people to be "on par" with arms with-the-government. So as to be a proper deterrent against tyranny. Meaning automatic weapons would have been totally good to go by the framers to be able to counter tyrannical government. And anybody that argues their wisdom better be seriously brilliant and globally accomplished as they were. These guys were top level minds.

Truly, it's something of recent times that has changed. I'm near 50 now and have seen a HUGE change in the way people think act (socially) and feel , and please believe me, guns have "nothing" to do with it. Take the UK for instance, knife attacks, acid attacks. France people getting run down in mass with trucks, Sweden, a new sick rape culture. T-totally out of control. These things are very new, fundamentally well,... for me but, I can remember many decades back now. So, my references (near 1/2 a century now) are probably quite different than yours if you are as young as you appear (no offense intended).
My best council is for this generation to seriously ask themselves what was so different 50-70's about people's thoughts, beliefs tendencies to sponsor such a different (happier/healthier)normal for them. Because if you were to time travel back then and tell them this would be normal they would freak out. They wouldn't be able to believe it. It's an internal thought/ emotional issue that is being perpetuated by this current society and culture (MSM). Why? How do we change it? It's not by taking away or changing the only last line of defense we the people have IF things went truly ape shit with the government. Dig deep, look at history. use multiple sources. It's the culture that has changed not guns. The common man/family with guns are the good guys. We're the ones you hope come by when we hear something going crazy at your house. The bad guys are the ones wearing black masks throwing urine, feces and attacking non confrontational bystanders. Good guys don't do that stuff... Something is wrong with people/culture/society. That is berthing these anomalies more and more. And it IS increasing. You are right in saying something needs to be done though. But it's about US changing US how we think what we believe how we have not just blind empathy but valid empathy. If we are not careful we will empathize with bad people, feel good about it and become them. Much thought should be put into who we have become and have we made mistakes about who we are and who we should be. Did we take a wrong turn with our social/cultural development? (yes).

I'm now seeing pix of this guy at left leaning activist pussy-hat gatherings. There are talks now surfacing about him being tied to ISIS and or ANTIFA (just as I had expected) And on a parallel thought, when the times are such that a gay white man (Milo)engaged to a black man is not welcome to speak at Berkeley then things have gone off the rails.

I know the answer but likely you will not agree or like it. It is what it is.

I wish I had an easy answer it's not. It's simple, but not easy. I feel bad but, people must grow at their own pace, when they are ready. Usually only after lots of pain. That's just our tendency unfortunately. Thanks for your volley btw.

That's the way I see it...

Totally agree, it takes just on person. smh

Some people in this world are just sick. That person probably lost a lot in a gamble but unfortunately took it out on the innocent people.

I wonder what his motive was.

saddening news, my convalescence to all the victims. Stay safe.

Will be spreading more positives news this week :)

No problem. Just wish the injured can recover soon.

This is so terrible my heart goes out for the families of all the victims. When will all this crazy gun related experiences finally come to an end, something has to be done.

Exactly what they want: for everyone to hand their guns in voluntarily....
