ChordChallenge #1 - Make Something From This Chord Progression And Win STEEM
What is ChordChallenge?
The idea behind ChordChallenge is to give musicians motivation to do music, make connections with other musicians and hopefully win the prize for their work.
This challenge will give the opportunity for every producer to make something new and creative. Any genre of music is welcome, so feel free to do your style.
My plan is to run this contest every week and I would be happy to see a lot of producers participate.
How to enter:
- Download chord progression midi file here: http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/kNHZThzl/file.html
- Make something from the chord progression that I uploaded. You can also make chord a different but do not change it drastically
- Use your imagination and do whatever you feel like, be creative ( No Genre Limits )
- Make sure music you created is at least 1 minute long
- Make a post about your entry with the first hashtag #chordchallange and link your post in comments here
- Give some love by upvoting this post
Prizes:
First: 2 Steem
Second: 1 Steem
Third: 0.5 Steem
Winners announcement will be next Saturday. I will judge this week and from next week I plan to find other judges.

This is my entry but unfortunately i couldn't change the first tag in dsound :/
Great. No problem man we will figure it out next time ;) Thank you for entering :)
When you want to change the tags, you have to edit the steemit post.
Good initiative, another music challenge. Alright:)
I think I can work with the chord, I might contribute.
Looking forward :)
Great concept for a challenge. Reminds me of the kind of stuff we had to do back in Chromatic Harmony class :P ESSKEETIT
Okay wait though, how creative can I get with this? Does it have to stay exactly F#m-E-D-E or just iv-V-IV-V in any key? Do I need to keep those inversions? Can I add 7ths or substitions (i.e. would Dmaj7 - C#m7- Bm7 - E7 still count?) - and lastly, does it have to be that progression the whole way through?
Oh and also does it have to be one chord per bar? Sorry for the spam of questions, I just wanna make sure I don't go crazy with it and end up disqualifying myself :|
Do it in F#m-E-D-E but you could change few notes or ad 7ths. The point is that the chord stays recognizable so there will be no cheating ^^
Ans yes you can add something that is not with the chord but chord must be there. So intro could be with the chord and after that something without ;)
Looking forward to your production ;)
