Chris Judd grilled on live TV by Tom Gleeson

Chris Judd appeared in the Charlie Pickering’s The Weekly show wherein celebrities are grilled with a rapid fire of questions that are made tough by the Australian Comedian.  On Wednesday night, Chris Judd was at the fire point and he faced some striking questions as per the culture of the show.

He was asked about the “tainted” drug culture of West Coast Eagles and also about their not so appreciated win over Sydney Swans in the 2006 premiership. Earlier this year, a report presented by Former Supreme Court Judge, William Gillard was made public which stated that the West Coast Eagles 2006 flag will have taints on it as the leaders of the group are fostering the illicit drug culture by providing cover to the year's old drug abuse.

Ben Cousin, the 2005 Brownlow medallist was recently in the limelight as some of his teammates admitted to using drugs during parties. The drug use involved cocaine and ice regularly. Cousin is presently serving a six-month imprisonment for breaching and stalking a restraining order.

Judd however, always defended his involvement in the club parties and previously. He says he stayed out of the club most of the time during “Cousins years.” In response to the claims that the teams 2006 flag is tainted, Judd said “The premiership was built on hard work and certainly my proudest moment in AFL footy,”  “In footy, there are thousands of opinions on different issues, but there’s no suggestion anybody used performance-enhancing drugs which obviously would have tainted the premiership.

“I’ve heard it before, but from my perspective, I was there, I noticed how hard we trained for it.” In his interview with Gleeson, Judd had to sidestep another set of striking questions pertaining to West Coast’s drug culture and Cousin’s days. “Can you tell Ben Cousins to get his s*** together so we can tell jokes about him again,” Gleeson questioned Judd in the interview.

“It’s a bit hard to get onto Ben at the minute. He’s got a few prior engagements”. Judd responded. Gleeson also probed as by ““How many grams” did the team won as they had a celebratory union on completion of West Coast 10 year premiership. Judd responded, “That’s a cheap shot, Tom.

A real cheap shot”. Gleeson also ranted about the futility of the International rules in the series against Ireland.

“For my NSW friends, I want to explain to them that International Rules Aussie rules combined with Gaelic football. So what’s it like playing a game that two countries don’t give a s*** about,” Gleeson probed. “The game I mean, the International Rules, it’s like watching a dog try to f*** a cat. It’s ugly and it shouldn’t be happening.”

However, Judd was also happening as he threw some amazing one-liner. When asked about his famous man cave, Judd told Gleeson some interesting thing that the comedian has to break his composure.

“My mother-in-law is now living with us and she’s next door to the man cave,” Judd said. “It’s at big risk of becoming a nan cave which is a bit of a concern.” To which Gleeson responded, “Well done”.  There have been many allegations but no proof until now suggests the start going to a drug and alcohol rehab which is another concern.
